Steel Protection - Cladding [ResCom]

March 29, 2019

Australia’s leading streamline high-performance board.

Steel loses its load-bearing capacity at a temperature in excess of 550°C during a fire; therefore, structural steel protection (e.g. with board, paint, spray etc) is required to preserve the stability of the building structure in the event of fire. Rescom board has had extensive testing and assessing to determine what board thickness is required each steel member used in Australia. (60mins/90mins/120mins/180mins).
